Meet Jess

Hi there! I'm Jess and I'm so excited to get to know each other! Before I tell you more about my photography, I want to share more about who I am, because I'm just a human like you! I'm a wife, mom to two precious little babies James & Savannah (2 under 2 is a wild time!), a dog mom to Lando -named after one of the iconic Star Wars characters, and a High School English teacher. Some of my favorite things include my family, listening to Podcasts like Dateline and Crime Junkies, reading/audiobooks, Dr. Pepper, highland cows, and photography (duhhh).

The very beginning of my photography goes back to when I was in middle school! That's when I got my first hot pink point-and-shoot camera. I thought I was a fancy pants, taking photos of my friends and HIGHLY over editing them (haaa cringe!). Fast forward to now and a few cameras later, I have years and years of experience photographing a variety of events, personalities, and lighting situations.

Now, I specialize in photography that highlights the authentic joy in relationships such as weddings, couples, and families. It fills my SOUL to preserve the unique and loving interactions among you and your loved ones. I love getting to be a part of your favorite people, even for just a short time.

I know there are so many talented photographers to choose from, and my photography is unique in my attention to details (hair checks, jewelry adjustments, empty pockets, etc.), my editing, and skills. I don't do a lot of rigid photos; instead, I focus on highlighting your relationships with playful prompts and lots of movement. My editing style ensures your photos stay classic and never go out of style. While I am partially self-taught, I have also invested countless hours into learning more to better serve you!

Every session is uniquely tailored to document your specific relationships with genuine interactions. I use playful prompts that include a lot of movement to guide you throughout the session. The prompts help you interact naturally and feel comfortable being yourself in front of the camera. Plus, once you see me being silly and making a fool of myself, you'll have no reason not to laugh and smile along!

My editing style is true-to-color, bright, and warm. I aim to deliver photos that tell your personal story while being cohesive and timeless. For each session, I provide you with an outfit guide with color suggestions that compliment each other and my editing style, and more key tips!
